Agriculture Education Day marks the grand opening Thursday of the annual Tunbridge World's Fair, bringing thousands of regional students to the historic fairgrounds to connect with Vermont's rich farming heritage.

  • Student Attendance: Over 2,000 students from roughly 90 regional schools arrive via school buses for hands-on agricultural learning.
  • Immersive Learning: With midway rides kept dormant initially to limit distractions, kids explore livestock barns, antique machinery on Antique Hill, and historical exhibits.
  • 4-H Participation: Local 4-H youth showcase livestock, including dairy cattle, sheep, goats, and rabbits, teaching their peers about animal care and food origins.
  • Interactive Activities: Children complete agricultural scavenger hunts, view historic craft demonstrations, and experience traditional farm life firsthand.
